1. Scope and controller

This notice covers virlore.com and the public Virlore character websites operated by Arctivis GmbH.

The responsible controller is Arctivis GmbH, Switzerland. Questions and data-protection requests may be sent to [email protected].

Social networks, creator platforms and other external sites linked from Virlore have their own data-processing arrangements. This policy does not replace theirs.

2. Information we process

Accessing the websites

Delivering pages over the internet necessarily involves technical connection information. Depending on the request and security systems, this may include your IP address, date and time of access, requested URLs, browser or device details, referrer information and security diagnostics. Our website hosting and security providers may process some of this information when delivering and protecting the websites.

Contact by email

If you email us, we process the information you send, such as your email address, name if provided, message and attachments, so that we can respond and manage the enquiry. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.

What these static sites do not provide

Virlore websites do not provide user accounts, registration forms, on-site purchases or newsletter signups. They do not embed third-party social-media widgets.

3. Why information is processed

We process technical information to deliver pages, maintain site functionality, prevent abuse and respond to security incidents. We process information sent to us to respond to requests, address rights enquiries and meet legal or administrative obligations where necessary.

Where the EU/EEA GDPR applies, the relevant bases may include legitimate interests in running and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f)), steps requested before entering into a contract where applicable (Article 6(1)(b)), and compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Any optional functionality requiring consent would be assessed and disclosed before it is enabled.

4. Service providers and international processing

We use external providers for website hosting, domain services, content delivery, security and email. They may process technical connection information or details you send us, where needed to provide these services.

Depending on the service, information may be processed in Switzerland, countries of the European Union or European Economic Area, and the United States. International transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements, including adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards where required. You may contact us for further information.

5. Cookies, analytics and marketing

These websites do not set first-party tracking cookies for analytics or advertising, and we do not use marketing pixels. Essential technical cookies may be used by service providers to deliver the websites securely and prevent misuse.

7. How long information is kept

We seek to keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was processed, taking account of security, dispute handling and legal retention obligations. Email correspondence may be retained as needed to manage enquiries and related legal obligations. Infrastructure logs follow the retention rules and settings applicable to our providers and services.

8. Your rights

Under applicable Swiss data-protection law, you may have rights to information, access, correction and deletion of personal data, subject to statutory conditions and exceptions. Where the GDPR applies, additional rights may include restriction, objection and portability in the circumstances provided by that law.

Contact [email protected] for a privacy-related request. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity before disclosing personal data.

You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and, where applicable, a competent EU/EEA supervisory authority.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice if our services or data-processing practices change. The updated version and its date will be published on this page.
